Using the Conversations Tool to Communicate with Your Students

Send and receive messages from your students all in one place with the Conversations tool

The Conversations tool allows teachers to send messages to their students and view their conversation. Conversations can be initiated by students or teachers.

πŸ’‘ To post an announcement to an entire class Section, check out the Announcements tool. Both the Conversations and Announcements tools can be found in the Messages App.

Navigating to the Conversations tool

  1. Click on the Toolbox in the top nav bar

  2. Select Messages under the Classroom category

  3. Navigate to the Conversations tab

Sending Messages to Your Students

  1. Use the Section dropdown menu to select a class Roster

  2. Click on a student's name

  3. Type your message and click Send

How Students Can Access Their Messages

Students can read their messages by clicking on their inbox and selecting a message from you to read and respond to.

  1. Students will click on the bell icon next to their name in the top right

  2. Select "See All"

  3. Click the new message listed under unread notifications
