The CodeHS teacher verification process manually confirms that a CodeHS account is owned by an authentic educator. To become a verified teacher, users must provide a valid school-issued email and documentation tied to an authorized teaching role.

To ensure that students cannot gain access to CodeHS teacher resources, only verified teachers can access the following:

CodeHS Problem Guides are resources that provide a detailed breakdown and explanation of every exercise on CodeHS to help teachers directly support their students. The CodeHS Honor Code will help set the tone for the school year on what is acceptable and what is not. Creating a class culture of good digital citizenship and establishing ground rules can go a long way in preventing student cheating.

Alternate exercises are different versions of existing assignments in CodeHS courses. These assignments are changed in subtle ways so that the core concept and difficulty are not altered, but a different solution is required to pass the Autograder.

The Plagiarism Report is a one-page view for a specific assignment that details potential plagiarism

Copy/Paste Prevention allows teachers to prevent students from copying and pasting code that isn’t their own in the Code Editor.
