Quiz Scores App Overview
The Quiz Scores App on CodeHS allows you to manage, track, and analyze student quiz performance. It provides detailed data on individual and group performance across various quizzes and questions. Here's how to navigate to the Quiz Scores app:
From the left-hand navigation menu, click on "Grading" to expand the category.
Click "Quiz Scores"
Using the Quiz Scores App Tools
The Quiz Scores app features six tools, which can be accessed by the tabs at the top of the page: Quiz Scores, By Student, By Assignment, Answer Distribution, QOTD Scores, and Settings.
Quiz Scores
In the Quiz Scores tool, you can view overall quiz performance for the class. It displays mean scores, max scores, and individual student performances for each quiz. You can adjust the view of the table to show Heat Maps, Percents, or Raw Scores.

The Quiz Scores tool's drop-down enables users to effortlessly switch between various sections.
Table Views
You can adjust the view of the table to show Heat Maps, Percents, or Raw Scores.
By Student
The By Student tool provides a detailed breakdown of each student's performance across all quizzes. You can see individual quiz scores, total correct answers, and percentage scores.
By Assignment
The By Assignment tool shows quiz performance for each assignment. You can view how students performed on specific quizzes and questions within each assignment.
Answer Distribution
The Answer Distribution tool shows how your whole class answered each question on a quiz. For every answer choice, you can see the number and percentage of students who selected it. This makes it easy to spot common misconceptions and plan a focused review.
Use the Section and Assignment dropdowns to choose which class and quiz to view. The summary cards at the top show the number of questions, how many students took the quiz, and the class’s average score.
For each question:
The correct answer is highlighted in green.
The most common wrong answer is highlighted in red.
The percentage of the class that answered correctly appears in the top-right corner of the question.
Click the numbered circles above the questions to jump directly to a specific question.
QOTD Scores
The QOTD (Question of the Day) Scores tool tracks performance on daily quiz questions. You can view the total percentages of students that have answered the QOTD, the average score of each student, etc. This tool also displays a timeline view of student performance on daily questions.
Settings
The Settings tool allows you to configure quiz settings for your class. You can set the number of attempts, indicate correct/incorrect answers, show correct answers, and more.
