CodeHS now offers a suite of AI grading tools to help you grade and provide personalized feedback faster. These tools give teachers more time to concentrate on instruction, differentiate learning, and track student progress.

You can access the <a href="https://codehs.com/apps/ai_tools?ref=26" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">AI Grading</a> app by clicking AI Grading under the Grading Category in the left-hand navigation menu:

The AI Grading app has three tools which can be accessed by the tabs at the top of the page: AI Fast Grade, Settings, and Feed:

The AI Fast Grade tool allows you to grade student submissions with AI grade suggestions and AI feedback if it looks like an assignment needs work. The Assignment name will be listed at the top with a dropdown menu that displays:

- The student who submitted the assignment
- The student's section
- The submission date
- The current grade for the assignment

You can adjust the suggested grade next to Score and make changes to the feedback under Student Feedback. Once the score and feedback are reviewed, you can Finalize the assignment to push the grade or specify if the assignment Needs Work.

Under the grading options, you can provide feedback about the AI suggestions, view the AI rubric, and view previous grades for the assignment and your canned responses.

To adjust the AI rubric's evaluations, click the icons to toggle between a green check or a red X. The score will update automatically.

AI grade suggestions are also available in the <a href="https://codehs.com/app/gradebook_by_assignment/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Gradebook app</a>! Note: AI Fast Grade will only provide hints and grade suggestions for permitted assignments with solution code or Autograders.

AI Fast Grade offers different ways to filter assignments to grade if you're looking to grade a specific set of assignments, prefer to grade them in a certain order, or both.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts to make the grading process even faster. In the Settings tool, you can monitor your usage and select the specific AI features you would like enabled.

The Feed tool shows all of the AI suggestions and grades you've generated. You can also give feedback on any of the AI suggestions from this page.

AI Usage for the AI Grading app is limited. To view AI usage: 

Go to the <a href="#h_9950581b36">Settings tool</a> in the AI Grading app.

Click the <a href="https://codehs.com/settings?tab=ai-settings" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">AI Settings</a> tab within Account Settings and scroll down to AI Hints &amp; Grading.

- Go to the <a href="#h_9950581b36">Settings tool</a> in the AI Grading app. 
- Click the <a href="https://codehs.com/settings?tab=ai-settings" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">AI Settings</a> tab within Account Settings and scroll down to AI Hints &amp; Grading.
