Exporting Grades from CodeHS
Go to your Gradebook app. Depending on your desired Export level you should select the following tool before Exporting:
Export Level | Gradebook Tool |
Activity Level (Each CodeHS activity will have its own grade in Canvas). | Overview |
Lesson Level (Each CodeHS lesson will have its own grade in Canvas). The lesson grade will be the combined score of all assignments within that lesson on CodeHS. | By Lesson |
Module Level (Each CodeHS module will have its own grade in Canvas). The Module grade will be the combined score of all assignments in all lessons within that module on CodeHS. | By Module |
From there, you can filter by module and lesson depending on which grades you are ready to export.
Then, click Export > Canvas CSV. If you don't have the option to export to Canvas CSV, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
Importing Grades to Canvas
From your Canvas course, go to Grades > Import.
Choose File and Upload Data.
Confirm that you'd like to import all assignments from the CSV, and click Continue. If student names are different in CodeHS and Canvas, you may need to confirm that the students are getting connected correctly.
Confirm the updated grades and click Save Changes:
Student grades should now be updated!
