Students learn how to create video games in JavaScript in this honors-level, introductory course! Its curriculum teaches the foundations of computer science and basic programming, with an emphasis on helping students develop logical thinking and problem solving skills.

Once students complete the course, they will have learned material equivalent to a semester college introductory course in Computer Science and be able to program in JavaScript.

The Video Game Design in JavaScript course is designed for complete beginners with no previous background in computer science, but it does teach advanced topics.

Students will learn to create their own games in JavaScript, including Breakout, Tic Tac Toe, and Snake. For their final project, students will create their own game from scratch using JavaScript!
