Connecting a CodeHS Section to Cyber Range

In order for grades to passback from Cyber Range to the CodeHS gradebook, the CodeHS Section must be connected to Cyber Range. Check out this article for information about connecting a section to Cyber Range.

Grade Passback

When student's complete challenges on Cyber Range, grades are automatically sent to the CodeHS Gradebook.

Teachers can also manually fetch Cyber Range Grades by clicking on the Pull Cyber Range Grades button in the CodeHS Gradebook:

Point Totals

By default, each Cyber Range Challenge is worth 10 points in the CodeHS Gradebook. Cyber Range Challenges are Pass/Fail meaning that if a student completes a Cyber Range Challenge, they will be awarded full points for the activity in the CodeHS Gradebook.

Changing Challenge Point Totals

Teachers can change the amount of points that each Cyber Challenge is worth by adjusting the point total within the CodeHS Gradebook:

  1. Navigate to your Section's Gradebook.

  2. Click on the blue Edit button.

  3. Adjust the Points Row (any previously graded student submissions will be regraded according to the new point total).

  4. Click on Done.
