Overview

Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping education — not just in what students encounter, but in the tools educators use every day. As AI becomes increasingly embedded in instructional platforms, productivity tools, and decision-making systems, it’s more important than ever that educators feel confident evaluating, using, and modeling AI responsibly.

To support educators across roles, grade levels, and content areas, CodeHS developed Applied AI for Educators, a professional learning experience focused on building practical, transferable AI literacy for today’s classrooms and schools. The course is designed for all educators — from classroom teachers to instructional leaders and administrators — and emphasizes real-world application rather than tool-specific training.

Building on prior CodeHS AI professional development, this course shifts beyond introductory awareness to applied understanding. Educators explore how modern AI systems work, where AI already shows up in educational tools, and how to use AI to support planning, instruction, differentiation, feedback, and administrative tasks while maintaining professional judgment and academic integrity.

Whether you teach elementary school, support instruction at the district level, or lead school-wide initiatives, Applied AI for Educators equips you with the understanding and confidence to navigate an AI-embedded educational landscape with purpose and responsibility.
