Individual Learners can ask a CodeHS Tutor for help on any exercise in their course. After you submit an exercise, a CodeHS Tutor will grade it and provide feedback directly on your work.

If you are stuck on a problem, you can message the Tutor right from the Code Editor:

  1. Click "More"

  2. Click "Conversation"

  3. Type your question

  4. Click "Send"

When a Tutor responds, you will see their message on your homepage. If you have follow-up questions, reopen the Code Editor for that exercise and reply in the same conversation. The code editor will keep the full message history so you can refer back to it as you work.
