If your gradebook isn't displaying data as expected, there are a few possible causes. Assignments may not be configured correctly, or gradebook data may need to be refreshed. This article covers common causes and troubleshooting steps to resolve gradebook display issues.

Common Causes & Troubleshooting Steps

Check Assignment Settings

If you're seeing N/A values in the gradebook, first confirm that the affected assignments are assigned to your students in the Is Assigned Settings.

Assignments that are not assigned to students will appear as N/A in the gradebook. You can learn more about these settings here.

Refresh Gradebook Data

If you're seeing N/A values for assigned content, grades that don't match between assignments and the gradebook, or gradebook data that appears incorrect or delayed, try refreshing your gradebook data.

Click the blue Refresh button in the top-right corner of the Overview tool in the gradebook:

Refresh Gradebook Settings

If your gradebook data is still displaying incorrectly, try refreshing your Gradebook Settings:

  1. Open the gradebook Settings tool.

  2. Take note of which assignments are checked under Include in Gradebook and Display Settings categories.

  3. Uncheck all assignments under both settings and click Save.

  4. Re-check the assignments that were originally selected and click Save again.
