Game Development in Unity 6.3

Teach the latest version of Unity with CodeHS

Written by Jiahao Xian

CodeHS is creating an updated version of Game Development in Unity that utilizes version 6.3. The full course will be completed in November, but teachers can begin teaching it now.

The first module of this course is available and ready to use with students. To add Game Development in Unity to your courses:

  1. Go to your Courses app and click the Create New Course button.

  2. Select Choose Course Template to use a course from the CodeHS Course Catalog.

  3. Search for “Game Development in Unity (6.3)” and select the course.

  4. Enter a name for your Course. For example, “Game Development”

You can then assign this course to sections and start teaching with this course. The remaining modules will automatically be added and assigned to your sections. You will receive updates by email as new modules are added.

Note on Game Development in Unity (3.9)

We strongly recommend using the updated Game Development Unity course. However, Game Development in Unity (3.9) will remain available during the 2026-27 school year. Teachers should be advised that version 3.9 is no longer supported by Unity.

Visit the CodeHS Course Catalog to explore all our available courses. If you have any questions, please email us at support@codehs.com.
