Power Ups App Overview

The CodeHS Power Ups App provides standalone interactive tools to help visualize and practice key coding concepts. These tools cover topics such as data visualization, programming structures, and hands-on coding in various languages.

Power Ups are designed to support student learning by offering engaging, focused practice on individual topics and skills. Whether it's understanding loops, exploring how data flows through a program, or manipulating visuals, Power Ups offer an interactive and approachable way to reinforce core computer science concepts.

Teachers can find the Power Ups app under the Curriculum category in the left-hand navigation menu:

Using Power Ups

Teachers can use Power Ups to supplement lessons, introduce new topics, or offer extra practice for students who need more support. They're also great for warm-ups, review days, or extension activities.

How To Share Power Ups in Your Classroom

⚠️ Note: Students do not have access to the Power Ups app, but can still access Power Ups that have been shared with them.

Teachers can share Power Ups with their students by providing them with the direct URL for the specific Power Up.

Pro Power Ups

Some of our more advanced Power Ups are available exclusively to teachers on the Pro plan. These Pro Power Ups can be identified by the "Pro" tag. They provide enhanced learning opportunities for students with more complex coding concepts and interactive challenges.
