Prerequisites and Curriculum Pathway

The IB Computer Science Higher Level course uses the JavaScript programming language and is designed for complete beginners with no previous background in computer science. However, students should be comfortable with algebraic functions and notations.

This course provides a base of knowledge comparable to our Intro to JavaScript course and can serve as a prerequisite to more advanced courses in the 9-12th Grade Curriculum Pathway.

Students can take this course as their first introduction to computer science or as a secondary introductory course that explores a new language.
