First, you'll want to create a playlist. To do this, click on the "Create" button on the left-hand side of your teacher page or click this link.
Next, you will want to name your playlist and click the green "Create" button to create a new playlist.
Once you click into your new playlist, you can create and name a new quiz on the left-hand side of your playlist page.
Finally, select the quiz option and click on the "Create Activity" button.
From there, you can type in a question and create different answer choices.
After you have added in your answer choices, click on the left hand side of each choice to mark it as “correct” or “incorrect.”
In the block to the right of the answer text box, you can also write a display message for each choice that will pop up when students select it as the answer.
But, what do you do if you want to make a custom quiz, but don’t want to have to write your own questions?
You can always borrow a few questions from the quiz question bank! The quiz question bank is filled with tons of great questions created both by CodeHS teachers from around the world, as well as members of the CodeHS team!
First, you will want to select the quiz question bank option under the Create section of the toolbox.
From there, you will see a quiz question bank where you can search and filter for specific types of quiz questions. Once you find a question you like, you can hit the blue “ADD TO QUIZ” button to add the question to the correct quiz in your playlist.
Select the quiz you want the question to go into (if you have multiple quizzes.)
And VOILA! The quiz question is now in your custom quiz!
