Using the College & Career Center App Tools
The College & Career Center app features three tools, which can be accessed by the tabs at the top of the page: Career Center, College Majors, and Account Transfer.
Career Center
The Career Center tool offers supplemental curriculum, project resources, and highlights real-world career pathways to help with student recruitment and engagement in computer science.
Supplemental Curriculum
Each pathway offers Career Lessons that serve as great supplemental resources to your CodeHS courses. You can assign lessons by clicking 'Assign,' or let students explore independently by clicking 'Get Started.'
Project Resources
Students are able to view resources about different types of careers and can utilize each article or lesson for projects assigned to them.
Recruitment
The Career Center shows students some of the many pathways in the industry and allows them to visualize how computer science can relate to their future careers. Students can learn about different industry professionals' career journeys with the articles included in each pathway.
College Majors
The College Majors tool helps students explore different CS-related majors by providing brief overviews, career opportunities, key courses, and additional resources like articles to guide their academic and career planning. Students can click into each major to learn more.
Account Transfer Tool
The Account Transfer tool allows students to transfer their school account to a personal account by creating a separate non-school affiliated account. This ensures students can continue to access to the CodeHS Sandbox, course certificates, and certifications after graduation.
To help your students transfer their account, simply copy the URL provided, either by highlighting the link or clicking the blue copy button, and share it with them directly.
