Customize What's Assigned with Is Assigned Settings
The Is Assigned Settings tool allows you to choose which activities are assigned in your Section(s). To access it, click Configure in the lefthand navigation menu under the Assignments category, then click the Is Assigned Settings tab at the top of the page. Use the Section dropdown to choose the Section you'd like to configure:
Setting a Module, Lesson, or Assignment toggle will determine what students see. If set to Yes, the associated activity will appear on students' Assignment pages. Setting the toggle to No will hide it from students:

Navigate to the Assignments tool and choose the Course and Section you'd like to modify using the dropdown menus at the top of the page.
Click the teal gear icon next to an Assignment you wish to assign or unassign.
Next to Assigned, select Assigned or Unassigned.
Customize for Individual Students

Use the dropdown menus at the top of the page to select a Section and individual student, then click the Is Assigned toggles to make adjustments:
From the Roster App
From the Roster app, click the gear icon next to a student's name, then click the Is Assigned toggles to make adjustments:
From the Assignments page:
Navigate to the Assignments tool.
Click the gear icon next to the Assignment you wish to assign or unassign.
Select All Settings at the bottom of the popup.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Configure per-student.
Use the toggles to assign or unassign for individual students.
