AP CSP Pacing Calendar Tool

Use the AP CSP Pacing Calendar to build and adjust a pacing schedule for your AP Computer Science Principles course — in JavaScript, Python, or Cybersecurity.

Written by Amira Marvel

Plan your whole AP Computer Science Principles year in less time. The AP CSP Pacing Calendar is an interactive tool that helps you see exactly what to teach and when. Best of all, it doesn't require a login — anyone can open it and start planning right away, which makes it simple to share with your department or a fellow teacher.

The tool builds pacing for all three CodeHS AP CSP course versions:

How to Use the Tool

Choose Your Course

Select the AP CSP pathway you teach — JavaScript, Python, or Cybersecurity — and the calendar builds a pacing schedule aligned to that course.

Set School Calendar and Class Schedule

Upload your school calendar or manually enter the first day of class, last day before the AP exam and the AP exam date. Next, input your class schedule. This includes schedule type, how frequently class meets and class period length.

Module Order

Choose whether or not you'd like to follow the default syllabus order or customize the module order. You can always update this later.

Review and Generate

On the final page of the tool, you'll see a summary of your selections and be prompted to change anything that looks incorrect. If everything looks good, generate your pacing calendar!
