Starting July 2026, Utah homeschool families can use their Utah Fits All Scholarship funds to purchase CodeHS computer science courses for at-home learning. CodeHS offers courses from beginner through AP levels that are self-paced and web-based with no downloads or installation required. CodeHS is an approved vendor on the Odyssey marketplace, where all Utah Fits All purchases are made.
What Is the Utah Fits All Scholarship?
Signed into law in 2023, the Utah Fits All Scholarship program provides Utah families up to $8,000 per year in scholarship funds to spend on approved educational products and services, administered through the Odyssey marketplace.
Utah Fits All Scholarship amounts include:
$4,000 for a home-based student age 5-11 as of September 1 of the scholarship year
$6,000 for a home-based student age 12-18 as of September 1 of the scholarship year
$8,000 for a private school student
Who Is Eligible for Utah Fits All Scholarship Funds?
All K–12 students who are Utah residents are eligible to receive Utah Fits All Scholarship funds.

Utah Fits All Scholarship accounts will be funded July 15, 2026.

Utah Fits All Scholarship-Approved CodeHS Courses
CodeHS is an approved vendor on the Odyssey marketplace. You can find CodeHS courses listed on Odyssey and purchase them directly using your Utah Fits All Scholarship funds — no credit card needed.
For grades 6-12, CodeHS offers 11 computer science courses that are 100% aligned to Utah computer science standards frameworks. We also offer high school level introductory coding courses in Python, JavaScript, and HTML, as well as AP courses endorsed by the College Board.
CodeHS courses are self-paced and ideal for homeschool learners. Each course includes video lessons, guided coding exercises, quizzes, and projects, with built-in autograding that gives your child instant feedback on their work. No downloads or software installation are required — CodeHS runs entirely in a web browser and works on any computer, laptop, tablet, or Chromebook with internet access.

How to Purchase CodeHS Courses with TEFA Funds
Get approved for the Utah Fits All Scholarship. Visit utaheducationfitsall.org to submit your application. You'll need to verify that your child is a Utah resident of school age. Applications are reviewed on an annual basis, and you'll be notified if you are selected to receive the scholarship and when scholarship funds are available.
Browse CodeHS courses. Explore the Utah Fits All Scholarship-eligible course catalog to find the right fit for your child's interests.
Purchase through Odyssey. Log in to withodyssey.com with your Utah Fits All Scholarship account, search for CodeHS, select your course, and complete the purchase using your scholarship balance.
Start learning. After your purchase is confirmed, you'll receive instructions to set up your child's CodeHS account.
Getting Support
CodeHS courses are designed to be self-guided. Every course walks your child through each concept with video lessons, step-by-step coding exercises, and instant autograded feedback, so they can learn and complete the work independently, with no teaching or coding background needed on your part.
Because these courses are self-paced and self-serve, CodeHS doesn't provide one-on-one tutoring or individualized coding or curriculum help for TEFA purchases. The course itself is built to give your child everything they need to make progress.
