Assigning Quizzes to your Section
To assign a quiz to your students, you need to add a quiz from the Lessons page in your section. Navigate to the CodeHop Sections:
Select Sections from the left sidebar on your CodeHop Teachers Homepage
Click into your Section > Lessons tab.
Scroll to the bottom, select the Add Lesson button.
In the modal, select a Unit Quiz to add to the section.
A quiz activity added to your lessons will display a distinct Quiz label next to its title, making it easy to distinguish from standard lessons.
Unit Quiz Formats
There are two format options available for student quizzes, allowing you to choose the best style for your classroom environment:
Live QuizBuzz Game
A gamified, interactive quiz format designed to engage the entire class. Clicking "Start live QuizBuzz game" launches a live, interactive game session where questions appear on all screens simultaneously, and students use their individual devices as buzzers to submit answers in real time.
Self-paced Quiz
A standard assessment format where students read questions and select their answers at their own pace. Clicking "Push students to quiz now" pushes the quiz directly to your students' active screens for independent, self-paced completion. This is ideal for quiet testing and formal grading.
If you prefer to hand out hard copies of quizzes to your students, you can select Print quiz.
Access Quiz Answer Keys
You can easily access quiz answer keys by looking under the Teacher Reference section on the quiz page. This resource is intended for teacher reference and grading purposes only.
Track Performance in Quizzes Reports
With the Quizzes report, teachers can quickly view, track, and analyze student performance to gain real-time insights into the materials. With visual indicators, you can easily evaluate your students' performance at a glance by seeing each student's exact score and answers to each question. To access this page, navigate to the left-hand menu of your CodeHop Teacher Homepage and select Reports > Quizzes.
Inside a Quiz Submission
To get a deeper understanding of a student's performance, you can drill down into their specific quiz responses.
From the Quizzes report dashboard, click on a student's score bubble.
A modal will open on the right side of the screen, displaying the student's name, the quiz title, the total score, and a question-by-question breakdown.
