CodeHS is dedicated to the security of the students, teachers, and schools we serve and understands district and school requirements to comply with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA). CodeHS has implemented tools to help our users with compliance.

Data Privacy

CodeHS does not sell or rent personal information to third parties. For more information on our data privacy protections, please review our Privacy Policy at codehs.com/privacy

Activity Monitoring

CodeHS uses automated moderation tools as well as human review to flag and disable content that violates our Terms of Use (including abusive content). Teachers and administrators can also flag content to support@codehs.com for additional review.

Whitelist Enforcement

Teachers with Pro accounts have the option to turn on an enforced whitelist that they can customize based on allowed content in their classroom. At the district level, CodeHS can, upon request from district administrators, enforce whitelists across all teacher accounts in the district, with each teacher having controls to customize their whitelist.

Once the whitelist is created, any student added to a teacher’s sections will be subject to the whitelist and be unable to run links outside of the whitelisted domains.
