Typing Placement Tests are a new way to assess your students’ typing proficiency and determine which typing lessons they are ready to complete. Enable Placement Tests in Typing Settings under the Typing Configuration section.

How students can access their Placement Tests

When Placement Tests are enabled for a section, students will see a Pretest option on their Typing homepage. Students must complete the Pretest in order to continue their typing lessons.

💡 The pretest may take a while to complete. Students have the option to leave and re-enter as they please or end the pretest early.

Student results will appear on the Typing Overview page under the Placement Tests tab. Teachers can either manually place students in the lesson they've unlocked or toggle on Automatically Skip Lessons, in Typing Settings, which automatically places students based on their placement test results.
