CodeHS is researching the development of an AP Cybersecurity course that is aligned with the College Board framework for 2026-2027.

We are currently gathering more information from teachers about their needs for this course. Please take this survey to help us better understand how we can best support teaching this course. We will reach out to those who complete the survey with updates about the resources in development for this course.

While CodeHS does not have content for the 2025-2026 AP Career Kickstart™ pilot year, teachers have the option to use content from our cybersecurity course pathway with their students for the pilot.

Due to the closed nature of the College Board pilot, CodeHS did not have access to the pilot course frameworks and standards for the pilot years. Instead, we reviewed the AP Career Kickstart™ Instructional Overview and mapped lessons from our Fundamentals of Cybersecurity and Advanced Cybersecurity courses to the course topics for Networking Fundamentals and Cybersecurity Fundamentals.

From the linked pages above, teachers can preview and assign lessons to students in their AP Career Kickstart™ pilot courses. Pilot teachers should review lessons to evaluate alignment to standards before using them with students.
